as a thorough German speaking Metropolisfan I could not resist trying the well known commands here too and to my surprise I found them working as usual in German.
I understood this was an effort to make an European chatroom in which the language is English. it seems logical to me that English is chosen for this purpose, as more Europeans speak English than there are who speak German, but then one should do it 'all the way' and with no 'holes' in it.
