On chat pictures:
You can include chat pictures by giving the URL on which the picture is located.
If you do so, we ask you a big favour: please, include only small pictures and don't flood the chatroom with them. This is really annoying for your fellow chatters.
You can include or change your chat picture in "settings" in any of the chat channels.
There are more tips in "Help" in the chat channels.
What the does "chatting" mean anyway?
Answer: *bab* *lol* *grin* *wave* hi@all
"To chatter" means to talk rapidly and aimlessly about nothing in particular. And this is what most chatters do: They get together in cyberspace and talk about this and that.
In the chat, it doesn't matter whether you're male or female, black or white, old or young or whatever. Every chatter has an anonymous nickname which he or she can choose freely.
Generally, you can mingle with other chatters pretty quickly. Sometimes even close friendships, love affairs, marriages or chat babies result from what started as a simple chat.
In chats there's a lot of flirting, kissing, teasing, cuddling and sometimes insulting!
But be careful: things mustn't become really bad. Therefore it is important to stick to the chattiquette:
1. Don't insult, provoke or hurt other chatters!
2. Stay friendly and cooperative.
3. Don't include large chat pictures (no obscenities either!!!)!
4. Don't start trouble by writing rubbish!
5. A chat is a chat is a chat!
Attention: Chatting can become addictive! Therefore we advise you to go out and meet people now and again - at a chatters' meeting or a game night with your friends ;-).
Do you feel this irresistible impulse to log in now and again? Do you feel guilty for staying online for hours and hours? Do you shut yourself off from your family and friends?
